Welcome to SJHG Books! We will be doing everything in our power to "share joy and honor goodness," as our children's rhyming picture books are released! The Books
There are two books in the Roly Poly series: Roly Poly Guacamole and Roly Poly and Mrs. Moloney Roly is a mischievous young polar bear that doesn't always listen!
Book #3 is called The Best Barbara of All. It is the story of a Civil Rights hero who taught Ruby Bridges when no one else would.
Up Next!
The next rhyming picture book is a tribute to a special granddaughter named, Kathryn! It is called Dreaming a Dream of Me, and is the perfect bedtime story as you tuck your little ones in! It will be released in September just in time for those school night bedtime routines. A plush "Kathryn" doll will be made available as an optional purchase for your child to snuggle with as they nod off to sleep.
Marnie Reynolds-Bourque continues to beautifully illustrate my picture books. We have struck up a wonderful partnership and friendship. We both understand what it is like to be creative.
This book and doll will make an excellent gift for that special child in your life. It teaches them that they can be whatever they set out to be.

Thanks to Marnie Reynolds-Bourque for your incredible talents. You bring my words to life with such joy and goodness. This third book is a little different from the Roly Poly series. It is a tribute to my own personal hero, Barbara Henry. She taught Ruby Bridges when no one else would. In this photo, I had just opened up the finished product for the very first time while entertaining at my home in Rehoboth, MA. (Thus the beverage cups in the background!). I truly hope you love it like I do!

Sandra Haynes Ginalski, author of the Roly Poly Book Series and "The Best Barbara of All" is lovingly referred to by her grandchildren (Robbie, Jeremy and Kathryn) as "Gigi Boat." She has been an educator for 35 years. Sandra earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Elms College, her Master's Degree from Rhode Island

She enjoys sea glass hunting, photography, gardening, traveling and writing amusing poems. She lives in Rehoboth, Massachusetts with her life partner, David.
